Plain words,
not fine print.

Tempo is a free, local-first music journal for Android, plus an optional open-source browser companion. No accounts, no servers, no subscriptions. These terms cover what that means.

Last updated: December 31, 2025

What you get

Tempo tracks what you play and keeps the history, insights, and shareable cards on your own phone. The browser companion is open source — you can read exactly what it does. The app is free, with no ads and no paid tiers.

What you agree to

Use Tempo for your own listening. Don't misuse it to harm others or break the law, and don't misrepresent someone else's listening as your own. If you download it from Google Play, their store terms apply too.

As-is, no promises

Tempo is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. There is no server copy of your data, so if you lose your phone without a backup, the history goes with it — export a backup file if your plays matter to you.
