Do I need the Android app?
Yes. The extension only sends. Tempo on your phone keeps the journal. Both need the same Wi-Fi to sync.
Does anything leave my network?
No. It goes straight from your browser to your phone over your Wi-Fi. No cloud in between.
What about plain YouTube?
Off unless you allow it. Add the channels you want counted. Anything else only counts if it matches your Known Artists.
What counts as a play?
At least 15 seconds and half the track, actually listened, not scrubbed through. Skips still get noted.
What if my phone is away?
Nothing is lost. Plays wait in the browser and send when your phone is back on the same Wi-Fi. With Offline Mode on, they wait until you hit Sync Now.
What if it can't find my phone?
Type your phone's IP address in once. On busy or blocked Wi-Fi, a phone hotspot is the fastest fix.
